In all, 12 cities in Virginia have hosted a con on our list, so there is usually one within a drive.

When to go

March and June are the busiest months for cons in Virginia; February, July, and December have had none on our list.

Shows that come back

We have 6 shows in Virginia listed in more than one year, so they are a safe bet to return: Big Lick Comic Con - NOVA in Manassas, Station Unity 2027 in McLean, Blerdcon in Arlington, and GalaxyCon Richmond in Richmond.

How this list is made

Searching for a comic con near me from Virginia? This page is that list. Every Virginia con here was found on the organizer's own website and is re-checked weekly. A show that disappears from its source for three weeks in a row is hidden until it comes back, and the last update date is on the homepage. Dates and tickets always come from the official site, linked on every event page.

A bit of Virginia con history

GalaxyCon Richmond belongs to a family of shows that began in 2006 as Florida Supercon, founded by Mike Broder. After the Supercon name was sold to ReedPop in 2019, the remaining events, including Richmond and Raleigh, became GalaxyCon. Source
