What is coming up in Georgia

The next shows in Georgia: Military HeroCon (November 6 to 8, Fort Benning), Anime Weekend Atlanta (November 19 to 22, Atlanta), and New Year's Furry Festival (December 30 to January 1, Atlanta).

The big ones, running three days or more at a named venue: Military HeroCon at 9220 Marne Road in Fort Benning, Anime Weekend Atlanta at GWCC Building C in Atlanta, and New Year's Furry Festival at Courtland Grand Hotel in Atlanta.

By kind, that is 10 pop culture, 2 anime, and 1 gaming.

Where the cons are

Atlanta hosts the most, with 18 listings of the 36 we track in Georgia, more than half of the state's shows. Marietta (4), Peachtree Corners (3), Augusta (3), and Duluth (2) and others fill in the rest.

In all, 9 cities in Georgia have hosted a con on our list, so there is usually one within a drive.

When to go

March and May are the busiest months for cons in Georgia; January, July, and August have had none on our list.

Shows that come back

We have 7 shows in Georgia listed in more than one year, so they are a safe bet to return: Furry Weekend Atlanta in Atlanta, MomoCon in Atlanta, Dragon Con in Atlanta, and Marietta the Gathering in Marietta.

How this list is made

Searching for a comic con near me from Georgia? This page is that list. Every Georgia con here was found on the organizer's own website and is re-checked weekly. A show that disappears from its source for three weeks in a row is hidden until it comes back, and the last update date is on the homepage. Dates and tickets always come from the official site, linked on every event page.

A bit of Georgia con history

Dragon Con launched in 1987 as a project of a local science fiction and gaming group, and has run over Labor Day weekend in Atlanta ever since. By 2017 it drew more than 80,000 people. Source
