Larsen draws with a cartoonist's looseness and a superfan's affection for old Marvel. He followed McFarlane onto Amazing Spider-Man, then co-founded Image and has written and drawn Savage Dragon almost single-handedly ever since.
Ribic paints rather than inks, and his Marvel work carries the scale of myth, with figures set against enormous skies and colour doing the emotional work. Thor: God of Thunder and Secret Wars show it clearest.
