Liefeld's work is pure kinetic energy: extreme poses, heavy shoulders, everything at maximum. He drew New Mutants and launched X-Force at the peak of the nineties boom, co-created Deadpool and Cable, and co-founded Image Comics.
Takahashi has produced hit series continuously since the late seventies, sliding between farce, romance and folklore. Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2 and InuYasha all became international franchises.
